Saddles

Saddles are a tried and true tower packing. Besides the smooth surface, a good chemical resistance and a high stability of the single packing element is realized. Because of the simple geometry, economical prodution of saddles is possible. Ceramic saddles are suitable for distillation, especially while operating with acids and very high temperatures. They are often used for heat storage in thermal oxidizers.
